CableVision launches the first IP-based pay-TV rollout in Lebanon with Meatel, Alpha Networks, Amino, Broadpeak and Viaccess

 

BEIRUT, Lebanon — September 14, 2018 —CableVision, the leading pay-TV provider in Lebanon, announced today the imminent launch of a new IP-based entertainment services in major cities across the country.

CableVision will bundle its brand new IP to home content delivery service with a broadband offering – delivering over 150 popular entertainment, news, sports and premier film channels alongside on-demand and OTT content. The service launch is planned in and around the capital Beirut before a new tier of cities are targeted for further expansion.

The IPTV platform is integrated by Meatel and enabled by tucanoRED service delivery platform from Alpha Networks, Amino’s high-performance Aria6 hybrid HEVC client device, Broadpeak’s nanoCDN™ for multicast ABR streaming and Viaccess’ Connected Sentinel security suite along with the Viaccess multi-platform secured media player for content delivery to multiscreen devices.
