Brazilian media organization builds nationwide CDN with Broadpeak’s high-performance software for low-latency streaming and new content distribution services
CESSON-SEVIGNE, France – July 15, 2026 – Broadpeak®, a leader in streaming and monetization at scale, has been selected by SIMBA to power its new high-performance content delivery network (CDN) in Brazil. Built on Broadpeak’s Advanced CDN software, the new platform enables SIMBA to deliver live and VOD streaming services for three of the country’s leading broadcasters while launching its own CDN-as-a-service (CDNaaS) offering for high-quality, low-latency video delivery across the Brazilian market.
SIMBA is a joint venture formed by Record, RedeTV! and SBT to manage content licensing and distribution across the commercial broadcasters. As its owners accelerate their digital strategies, SIMBA has strategically invested in building its own CDN to take greater control of video delivery and quality of experience, while supporting a growing demand for premium live and on-demand video content. The company is now also offering streaming distribution services to third party content providers through its SIMBA CDNaaS.
“We’re taking a major step forward in building a robust CDN that supports our broadcasters’ digital future while creating new opportunities for the wider streaming market in Brazil,” said Carlos Alkimim, Commercial & New Business Development Director at SIMBA. “With Broadpeak’s proven CDN expertise and high-performance software, we can deliver premium-quality experiences across our broadcasters’ digital services while providing a cost-efficient, reliable and pay-as-you-grow business model for content partners.”
The combination of Broadpeak’s premium software, including the Analytics solution and a nationwide architecture enables SIMBA to reliably manage traffic peaks, scale as demand grows, and support new wholesale delivery services through its high-capacity network.
Broadpeak’s Advanced CDN enables operators and content providers to build high-performance CDN architectures that bring content closer to end users while optimizing streaming performance, operational efficiency and cost. The solution gives SIMBA the flexibility to grow its network as demand evolves and open capacity for partner services, while maintaining premium-quality, energy-efficient delivery for live video at scale.
“SIMBA is showing how content providers can take control of their video delivery future by building their own high-performance CDN and transforming infrastructure into a strategic growth asset,” said Jacques Le Mancq, CEO at Broadpeak. “This deployment demonstrates a practical and future-ready model that bridges operators and content providers to optimize delivery costs and unlock new revenue. Strategies like these are fundamental to supporting the next wave of streaming at scale.”
