As we gear up for NAB 2024 in Las Vegas, we have compiled some useful tips for all attendees, especially first-timers though experienced attendees can also benefit from them), to ensure an unforgettable experience. Pack your bags, plan your schedule, and let’s make this year’s event the best one yet!

1. It’s Vegas, baby!

Las Vegas is located in the Mojave Desert, so it experiences hot and dry weather for most of the year. Be sure to check the weather forecast before your trip and pack appropriate clothing, such as light and breathable fabrics. As everybody know, Vegas offers a wealth of entertainment options, so if you are lucky enough to have a spare time while there, try to organize yourself in advance to catch at least one of the many world-class shows, live performances, casinos, shopping, dining, or outdoor activities (you can find some programs here).

2. Walk the Talk in Comfy Shoes:

The NAB Show takes place in a large convention center with several vast exhibit halls, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes to navigate the show floor easily. We can’t stress this enough – comfy shoes are a must-have at any trade show let alone big ones! Be sure to add them to your pre-show checklist to ensure you have a blast and stay on your feet all day (and all night) long!

3. Get your agenda ready:

Get your agenda ready because you’ll be in crazy Las Vegas for 4 days. It’s important to have your meetings organized and planned ahead of time. Make sure to double-check the locations and allow extra time to travel between them (from West Hall to South Halls it takes a good 10 min walk!).

And don’t forget to leave room for unplanned conversations! You never know, you might run into an old industry friend in the bustling aisles.

4. Plan, plan and plan:

Plan, plan, plan. Proper planning is essential for a successful experience at the NAB Show. Take advantage of the tools provided, such as the NAB Show app, to view exhibitors, check the conference schedule, and get the latest event information. Don’t hesitate to download the app now!

 5. G is for Green!

We know that travels and trade shows can have a significant environmental impact. However, YOU can make a difference in limiting it a bit! Use the monorail for transportation from your hotel to the Convention Center (purchase your ticket in advance and charge it to your own badge!). Remember to bring your own reusable water bottle and easily fill it up at the airport and in the Convention Center. Avoid using single-use plastic items such as plastic bags or straws whenever possible. Consider choosing eco-friendly accommodations for your stay and support local businesses that prioritize sustainability. Additionally, opt for electronic copies of brochures and materials instead of taking physical copies to reduce paper waste.
