At SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2022, Broadpeak will highlight how telco, cable, and pay-TV operators can ensure a superior quality of experience (QoE) for subscribers with the company’s software deployed on-premises, offered as a service, or a hybrid combination of both. Broadpeak’s CDN, origin packager, multicast ABR, and other advanced solutions provide operators with a foundation for all-IP ABR video delivery.
“A significant transformation is underway as the video industry transitions to all-IP video delivery,” said Jacques Le Mancq, CEO at Broadpeak. “At SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, we’ll showcase how multicast ABR technology optimizes all-IP video delivery, enabling better control of OTT traffic over operators’ networks, more efficient video distribution to all screens, and an outstanding quality of experience.”
Key Highlights at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2022 Will Include:
Improving Streaming Quality With High-Performance Data Plane Solutions
At SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, Broadpeak will demonstrate a new steering center that makes the company’s Advanced CDN context-aware, allowing operators to control CDN features being used for each session with very fine granularity based on request characteristics. Broadpeak’s Advanced CDN offers an open, dynamic, and elastic architecture that future-proofs video delivery, ensures an exceptional QoE, and streamlines the transition to all-IP ABR video streaming.
As part of the demo, Broadpeak will also showcase its BkS350 Origin Packager with best of breed video packaging. Innovative features such as manifest conditioning dedicated per live stream to facilitate all use cases for dynamic ad insertion, blackout, and EAS will also be showcased. BkS350 can run in any public or private cloud, offering better scalability, increased cost efficiency, and optimal security. The BkS350 supports recent codecs, including Dolby Vision 8.1, Dolby Atmos, and Dolby AC-4, ensuring optimal distribution in NEXTGEN TV workflows.
Enhancing Video QoE and Monetization With Multicast ABR
Broadpeak’s nanoCDN™ multicast ABR (mABR) solution enables telcos and cable operators to achieve better control over OTT traffic and improve QoE for subscribers. nanoCDN™ is also NEXTGEN TV compliant, enabling the use of a single headend for OTT and ATSC 3.0 broadcast delivery.
During the show, attendees can stop by the Broadpeak stand to see how nanoCDN improves QoE, especially at peaks, with real-world examples of collaboration between network operators and content providers for highly popular OTT content. In addition, Broadpeak will highlight the efficiency of mABR for targeted ad delivery on every screen.
